Play ball- Did you know that MATC has a men’s soccer team? Or that the women’s softball team is back?

If you are looking for leadership skills, personal growth, camaraderie and school spirit, then you should try out for a team sport.
MATC is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and competes in the North Central Community College Conference (N4C). Men’s sports include: basketball and soccer in the fall with baseball in the spring.
Women’s fall sports include: basketball, soccer and volleyball; and coming back this spring after a long hiatus, women’s softball. Soccer and baseball are played at the Oak Creek Campus at 6665 S. Howell Ave.  All home basketball and volleyball games are held at Alverno College  at 3400 S. 43rd St. in Milwaukee.
Playing on a team is a great way to enhance your college experience. Team sports are fundamental builders; they are rooted in cooperation, dedication, drive and ambition.
Students that participate in sports have a heightened sense of school pride. Playing sports is not only physically beneficial; it is also mentally and academically.
In order to participate on a team you must be a full-time student with at least 12 credits and maintain a GPA of 2.00 or better. For a complete list of eligibility requirements visit the MATC home page and click on Athletics or visit their website: www.matcstormers.com.
