Kevin Hart and Josh Gad yet again had the whole theater laughing as they had excellent performances on the screen in the big movie, “The Wedding Ringer.”
The movie is about Doug Harris (Gad), who in the beginning is shown to be a complete loser. He has no friends and keeps calling people from high school, who barely remember him, to be his best man. He is stuck giving fake names of his “best man” and groomsmen to his soon-to-be wife to get her off his back about finding friends.
So, put in this hole, he decides to go to someone who gets hired to a bunch of weddings to be a best man. This man is named Jimmy Callahan, (Hart).
Once Doug mentions he needs not just a best man but also groomsmen, Jimmy first declines but then later agrees to do it. He gets a bunch of his buddies and also people who auditioned for the spots to become the groomsmen, and he gave them information based on what Doug has told his family about each one of them.
This movie is hilarious start to finish, with some heartwarming parts. This movie is full of shocking moments, what-the-heck moments and cringe-worthy parts. From the beginning, you wanted to know if Doug would get away with it, if Jimmy aka Bic would be Doug’s friend even though they both agreed it was just business, and if they could pull off the perfect golden tux.
It gets your attention and makes you pay attention to the movie. You do not want to leave until you answer the questions.
The movie also had many famous celebrities that made the movie great too. Affion Crockett, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Jorge Garcia, Alan Ritchson and Dan Gill are all a part of this movie, and every character had a different quirk that the actors and actresses stuck with throughout the movie.
Ritchson’s character was the hot guy, looked hot and made everyone say wow. That was until he started to talk. He stuttered badly and his eye twitched as he talked. Cuoco-Sweeting was the soon-to-be wife of Doug but loved to be in control.
Everyone played their part right and made the movie even better. The lesson learned at the end of the movie is you don’t choose your friends, they choose you. And everyone needs a best friend in life, even those people who act like they don’t.
If you enjoy adventure comedies with some heartwarming parts, then I recommend this movie. Hart and  Gad work perfectly together as they set forth on many adventures and faced problems along the way. The two actors work hand in hand to make this comedy perfect. If you are looking for a good laugh and to see many amazing actors in one movie, go see “The Wedding Ringer.”
