Many Milwaukeeans are familiar with the name Blatz because the Blatz Brewing Company was one of Milwaukee’s brewing giants. This photo was taken at the Forest Home Cemetery.
I love the phrase, “Literally, go take a hike” and wondered what that would look like in Milwaukee.
I hiked around and photographed at Forest Home Cemetery because I love to learn about our city’s rich history. The office provides a free, very thorough visitor guide. I know that cemeteries aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, but if you’re interested in exploring MKE on the cheap, keep an eye out as I submit pictures to the Times throughout the summer.
