Once World War II in Europe and the Pacific ended, returning veterans were anxious to get a career in place. Pictured is the 10 a.m. Men’s Barbering class at the Downtown campus. It was traditional in Milwaukee that salons and barbershop owners passed on their business to their immediate family. Some of those early MVAS graduate’s shops are still in operation.
