The MATC Times is the college’s award-winning student newspaper. It covers five campus locations and many student issues. The paper has earned Pacemaker awards identifying it as one of the country’s best two-year college newspapers.

2025/2026
Two “Pinnacle Awards” from Collegiate Media Association (CMA). These are the organization’s flagship national honors that recognize the best student work in collegiate journalism. Awards received at MediaFest25 in Washington, D.C. in October 2025.

The Times staff placed in the top 10 in the national Associated Collegiate Press (ACP) “Best of Show” competition at MediaFest25.
