Public Safety and Milwaukee police continue to investigate the recent bank robbery at the Downtown Milwaukee Campus.Evidence, including video of the bank robbery, has been sent to the Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) for review according to an e-mail sent by Kathleen Hohl, Director, Communications and Events.
“We continue to work closely with MPD and U.S. Bank on the investigation and we will keep (everyone) informed as details are confirmed,” Hohl said in the e-mail.
The bank robbery happened at the U.S. Bank located on the third floor of the Downtown Milwaukee Campus. It occurred at approximately 2:25 p.m. on Friday, February 19.
“It is believed the robber approached the teller and passed on a note,” Hohl said in an e-mail interview. “The alarm was activated, and the MPD responded with six officers and four or five detectives.”
Public Safety officers also responded as well as U.S. Bank administrators, Hohl said. No one was hurt, and the robber did not have a weapon.
Public Safety assisted with the investigation along with MPD. “All cameras were functioning and collected footage was turned over to MPD,” Hohl said.
At 5 p.m., the scene was secured and all officers left.
