An Open Mic session was held on March 3 in the cafeteria at Downtown Milwaukee Campus during lunch hour to inspire students to ask for help from their instructors and ask questions if they had any. Dr. Tipton, Sociology instructor spoke on these very issues, offering herself as someone to go to for help. As for the performances themselves, there were about 15 total performances including dance, poetry, singing and dancing.
Sazare Cunningham, Culinary Arts student, said, “It was pretty cool, most performances (were) nice, though they should have involved the crowd a bit more.”
This event was hosted by Robert Perry, Liberal Arts and Sciences student, to “showcase the cultural diversity and talent that our students have. They are so talented.
