The Criminal Justice student organization has raised over $2,000 and 14 cases of pizza for Pathfinders Shelter. With the help of 15 volunteers from Pathfinders, Carnival for a Cause at the Oak Creek Campus on March 28, was a huge success.
The goal of this event was to raise not only funds, but awareness for Pathfinders which is a runaway and homeless shelter for youth.
It has been helping at-risk youth get back on track for over 30 years. Well over 300 Carnival goers were treated to a wide array of entertainment and typical carnival food.
Among the fun things to do, the face painting and bouncy house were the favorites among the younger guests.
The most exciting event of the day was the Martial Arts Exhibition performed by members of the OOM YUNG DOE School.
The CJSO and Pathfinders wish to thank everyone who participated.
Heather Thompson, CJSO President said, “Without the support of the MATC staff and the community, this event would not have been a success.
