Students from the West Allis Campus Bricklaying class were recently at the Oak Creek Cyber Café to add a brick facade to its entrance. It took two days and some careful stone placement planning, but the crew really created a work of art which will be enjoyed by students for years to come.
They worked with Deb Jansky, Fashion Merchandising Instructor, who designed the project.
Instructor Tom Pscheid said the next project for his class is to construct flower boxes for the City of West Allis.
According to Paul Moscisker. a student in the Bricklaying program, the level of training he has received has really prepared him for his career.
“This course gives me great hands on training. I feel I am 100% ready for a job after graduation,” Moscisker said.
John Stilp, Vice President at the Oak Creek Campus, is proud of the students’ accomplishments. In an e-mail, Stilp encourages everyone to “stop by the Cyber Café and view up close and personal the quality of work performed by our students here at MATC.
