Scholarships are a great way to pay for school without having to pay the money back once you graduate. It is not necessarily free money because you’ll most likely have to earn the scholarship.
Whether you have to write an essay, complete a certain amount of community service hours or maintain a certain grade point average; you’ll have to prepare to receive the scholarship.
MATC now has a specific website to help you access all the scholarships the school has available.
According to Robert Holland from the MATC Foundation, “MATC offers a variety of scholarships for many different programs, there are over 100 different scholarships offered through MATC Foundation that are general or program specific.”
This means you don’t have to be in a program to win a scholarship. If you’re just taking classes here, give it a try!
The website is https://matc.academicworks.com.
Once you get to the website you’ll have to enter your student id number as your username and your network password.
Next you’ll be entering information about yourself. Be prepared to answer questions about your career goals, your academic achievements and how a scholarship would help.
Finally, you have created an application for scholarships throughout the school.
Be advised the features on the website will only allow you to see applicable scholarships for your eligibility.
Now you just have to apply and basically wait for feedback. This is applying for multiple scholarships made easy with one shot.
Hurry sign up now so you can catch a scholarship for the spring semester!
