A host of volunteers, MPTV staff, as well as MATC first- and second-year Television and Video Production students came together for nine days of learning, sharing, giving and caring, for the 2010 Great TV Auction. Held in Brookfield, this annual event raises money for the commercial-free station to buy public shows and operate the station, in lieu of corporate funding.
The auction, which was aired live, sold items that were donated to the station throughout the year.
Items sold included a timeshare in Orlando, Florida, a Hank Aaron autographed baseball, a lot of artwork, both 3D and 2D, and various household items, like even a shower.
The station, which is located on the 4th floor of the MATC C Building, is always in need of viewer support.
