The Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic has just started a new clinic for Hmong speakers. People can go to the House of Peace location on the third Thursday of the month from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. except holidays. You can call 414-933-1300 to confirm hours of operation or directions.
They have a second location at Highlander Home Health Care, 5626 N. 91st St. #203. These clinics are being held on the second Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. until noon except holidays. You may call 414-461-2331 or 414-271-8650 to confirm hours and directions.
Legal Action of Wisconsin provides assistance to any non-native speakers. Legal Action provides representation and assistance for housing, W2, Emergency Assistance, Kinship Care and Caretaker Supplement, Badger Care, Food Share, Social Security, SSI and driver’s license issues.
Disability Rights Wisconsin provides services in Spanish and language translation by telephone for other non-English speakers. Disability Rights Wisconsin provides protection and advocacy for people with disabilities. They are located at 6737 W. Most legal services will try to accommodate non-native English speakers by using telephone translation services.
