Our MATC Stormers Men’s Soccer team started the season 0-2, with an 0-4 loss to Lincoln Land community College, and a 1-0 loss to Harper College.
Last year under Jonathan Greenfield the Stormers finished the season 9-9, a remarkable improvement from the 2009 season they finished with a 2-16 record. The team roster remains the same from last year. Point leaders Jesus Ortega (19 points) and Avarian Villarreal (15 points) are returning for their sophomore seasons, they only lost three players from last year.
With the blend of incoming freshmen and the veteran sophomores, we should expect big things from the Men’s Soccer team.
