Threatening notes were left at the Downtown Milwaukee Campus according to police. On November 4, Milwaukee police were called in response to three notes that were left at the Registrar’s Office, which were “causing a disturbance/concern for the safety of employees and students.”
However, Investigator John Schoof, from Public Safety, stated that those words were the responding police officer’s words, and not his. “That’s his assessment,” he said. Schoof stated that he didn’t feel the notes were threatening.
Schoof also stated that since the notes were reported, there have been no more threatening notes, phone calls or any other threatening activity. Schoof added that he does not feel that anyone is in any danger, and that if there were any concerns, “Chief Hines and myself would let those in higher authority know.”
Schoof stated that the notes are still under investigation.
