If you missed last year’s book discussions, the new 2010 schedule has been announced. First up is the multiple award winning “Douglass’ Women” by Jewell Parker Rhodes. The evening will be led by Myra George, English instructor Next is the mid-life crisis gem, “Babbitt” by Sinclair Lewis. David Racer, History instructor and Terry Thuemling, English instructor, are your hosts for the evening.
Last, but not least is, “Cradle to Cradle” by William McDonough and Michael Braungart.
For the recyclers in us all, this book has purposely been designed with washable ink and reusable pages. Kathy Bates, Environmental Health and Water Technology instructor, will be your guide.
Students may want to check with their instructors, as some of the above discussions will count as extra credit points for
participation.
As before, all discussions are held at the MATC Mequon Campus which is located at 5555 West Highland Road. They are from 7:00-8:15 p.m. in Room A202. “Douglass’ Women” is February 24, “Babbitt” is March 17 and “Cradle to Cradle” is April 21.
