After thirty-seven years of teaching and outstanding service, Gary Stanwood is retiring from the Mequon campus horticulture department this May. Stanwood spent many years teaching the hort students about the various landscape equipment, construction and maintenance techniques. Stanwood received his bachelors from Lakeland College and a Master’s in Education from Carroll College. He is also a Certified Arborist. (The care and management of trees)
One might think that Stanwood would take some time off, but his new gig starts in June at Wachtel Tree Science where he has been involved for years during the summer season. Stanwood mentioned that he will fit in time for some traveling in addition to continued involvement with Foreign Exhange Student programs.
