The annual Mequon campus plant sale was winding down on Thursday May 5, after stellar pre-Mother’s Day sales of the student grown plants. This year the Horticulture Production students and the Horticulture Club co-ran the event which traditionally takes place the first two weeks of May.
The green thumbs in the know venture back each year for bedding, annuals, and hanging baskets for their gardens. Students man the tables and have a variety of research books at their fingertips to suggest and offer ideas for customers.
The proceeds from the sale benefit the students Hort Club in addition to helping with the cost of related excursions outside the classroom.
