This team is a far different team than the 2009-10 Lady Stormers. The Lady Stormers had a remarkable season. They got off to a slow start beginning the season 0-4. They finished the season 17-9. But this year’s Lady Stormers are searching for ways to come together as a team and turn this season around. This season has begun just like the previous season, and this year the young Lady Stormers are showing some growing pains. Falling to an 0-6 record so far; they are searching for their identity as a team.
The Lady Stormers have a totally new roster this year.
Gone from last year are leading scorers Yanette Feagin (19 points a game), Alyssa Jensen (12 points a game), and Neva Paynes (10 points a game). This year Marissa Riley leads the Stormers with 14 points a game.
Due to the fact that this team is still getting the chemistry together the early season struggles they are having is understandable.
They are averaging nearly 34 points a game and allowing 77 points a game.
While this season so far has been a learning experience, there is no reason to think that this season will be lost. They have shown in the past that they can get it together. Fans have faith in our Lady Stormers, and believe with the help of the sixth man we can turn it around one game at a time.
Their next home game is against the Lancers of College of Lake County.
