The following is a portion of crimes reported to Public Safety within the period of December 7, 2010 and January 19, 2011 at various campuses. On December 7, a baggie filled with an unknown green substance was discovered by a staff member in the M Building of the Downtown campus. The Milwaukee Police Department was contacted and took the baggie to be inventoried.
On December 7, two instructors at the Downtown campus reported being contacted by two anonymous students in regards to another student allegedly attempting to sell drugs on campus. The alleged drug dealer was identified by the students. The Milwaukee Police Department was contacted.
On December 9, a student reported a Hit and Run in Parking Lot C at the South campus. She witnessed a vehicle hit the van next to it and reported it to Public Safety. When the Public Safety Officer and the student returned to the scene of the accident, the offending vehicle was parked in the same spot directly next to the van it hit. Since the van is registered to a company name unknown, there is no victim at this time.
On January 11, a student reported that her bank card was used fraudulently after only ever having used it to pay for her classes at the Downtown Campus. The card was used for four internet purchases. A report was filed with the Franklin Police Department where the student resides, as well as with MATC.
On January 19, the theft of books by two students was reported at South Campus. The suspects walked out of the Bookstore without paying for their items. The students were identified and were supposed to return to pay for them.
