The ice cream social on Wednesday, September 10, 2008, was sponsored by the Student Senate in order to recruit members as well as get students interested in Student Senate and other clubs and organizations. This was the first time the Student Senate had hosted the event without the use of advertisement, and student attendance proved that many were interested in the Student Senate, as well as getting a free scoop of ice cream.
