Most students that complete the fall semester often wish there are ways that they can get further ahead in their program plan between semesters. Search no longer!

MATC recently began offering Winterim courses that run between Dec. 20 and Jan. 10. Although the classes are fairly short, it gives a great opportunity to earn a few credits, either online or on campus. The Winterim courses include classes such as Psychology, Natural Science, English and Speech.

Yet, the question forms: Are these courses transferable to four-year universities? The answer is yes! Majority of the courses are transferable and it is encouraged that students speak with their academic adviser to discuss how those credits would transfer over.

Spring financial aid is available to fund Winterim courses, and all courses can be registered for on INFOnline or at any MATC campus. Registration began Nov. 10 for current students and Nov. 17 for new and non-program students.

So while you still have a chance, sign up for Winterim courses for your program!
