MATC Stormer Pass, more than just an ID
Did you know there are benefits to having a MATC Stormer Pass, other than just a form of ID?
Students can use their Stormer Pass as a form of payment throughout all MATC campuses. Students now have access to campus cash, which can be used in the campus café, vending machines, and as well as the MATC bookstore.
Students can keep track of their Stormer Pass online through their MyMATC student web account.
The newly installed credit card reader on the account management centers (AMC) or kiosks located throughout the school have a special chip reader, making it safer for students to make deposits without the risk of theft, and allows students to make safe and secure transactions when transferring money between accounts.
Brenda Saugstad, coordinator Campus Card Services, recommend that students utilize this new, special card reader. “It’s something that’s being mandated by the government for us to install this new card reader. We just want to educate students on this new card reader, and it’s just for better security for everyone,” stated Saugstad.
A Stormer Pass also allows students to have access to on-campus academic support centers, athletic facilities located at the downtown campus and special check-out privileges in the school library.
Students with a Stormer pass can also take advantage of parking discounts (downtown campus only) after purchasing a parking permit at the MATC cashier office.
There are also special discounts at these local restaurants for students: Tazinos, 8201 S. Howell Ave.; The Highland House, 12741 N. Port Washington Rd.; Double B’s BBQ & Burger, 7420 W. Greenfield Ave.; and Cousins Subs, 135 W. Rawson Ave.
