If you are a pregnant student, you may be eligible to receive benefits under Title IX.  Pregnant students are offered services and accommodations like those offered to students who have a temporary medical condition.

Once you are approved for Title IX and you have a pregnancy- related medical excuse from your doctor, you cannot be penalized for missing classes.

However, you must make up all missed assignments, tests, quizzes and hours of attendance. You are also entitled to a childbirth leave with documentation from your doctor.

Title IX is not retroactive so apply for benefits at the Student Accommodation Services office located in C219, 414-297-6750, as soon as you know you are pregnant.
