Students donate time, money to Robyn’s Nest
During the 2016-17 school year, MATC Student Government Association (SGA) at the West Allis Campus volunteered at Robyn’s Nest, an affiliate of Children’s Hospital. They were so impressed by the organization and its importance in the West Allis community, they voted to fundraise and donate the proceeds to Robyn’s Nest. In exchange for greeting cards, they collected donations totaling $450. Members of the West Campus SGA include: from the left; seated in front, volunteer, Kelly Keller; Patrice Jefferies, advisor; Kati Huisheere, volunteer; Lona Long Velasco, manager, Robyn’s Nest; members: Kamylle Moore-Brown, Tondalia Watnem, Benita Oatis, Jamie Lassa and Vincent Christian; Al Pinckney, vice president of the MATC West Allis campus; and Vernita Billups, member.
