The men’s basketball team gets revved up before the game starts.

If you are looking for an exciting sport to watch, check out the men’s and women’s MATC Stormers basketball teams. On Nov. 18, they played Malcolm X College at our home court located at Alverno College.

The women Stormers played with skill and dedication. They controlled the ball.

Richelle Parker-Moore scored 15 points.  Shakysia Trammell scored 14 points and Nikayla Ramsey scored 12 points. Malcom X won with a final score of 72-68.

The men’s team left the fans on edge as they watched them rebound and score. Jonathan Sutton lead the team with 14 points. D’Angelo Young – Pryor and Bryant Nolan Jr. added 13 points each.

From the huddle to staying focused on the game, the men demonstrated what it means to work together.

There was an opportunity for them to win this game, but during the final seconds, Malcom X College scored and won by one point.

The final score for the men was 78-77.
