Celebrating brotherhood with a night of nostalgia
In 1958 the fraternity of Alpha Nu Beta applied for and was granted charter status by the then president of Milwaukee Institute of Technology, Dr. George Parkinson.
This set in motion the 14-year journey of this and four other Greek societies on campus.
Between 1958 to 1972, the Alphas had 300 members within their ranks. According to Dario Rozas, “Some members have stayed lifelong friends and are still in touch with each other.”
The members can reminisce about the days of the coronation balls, variety shows, fundraisers and the all-around camaraderie of the Greek societies.
In celebration of the 60-year anniversary, Alpha Nu Beta will have a reunion for all members, staff, faculty and students who would like to come.
Members will be coming from across the country, and as far away as Spain.
So if you or someone you know would like to attend this event, save the date for Sept. 29, 2018 at the Astor Hotel. Check out the Alpha Nu Beta Facebook page for coming details on the banquet and cost.
