National Award-Winning Adviser Honored
The Times bestows Gould with adviser emeritus honors
Retired Times adviser Tom Gould was recently named advisor emeritus by the newspaper’s editorial board.
Gould was the longest running adviser to the paper in the school’s history, serving a total of 34 years. From 1972 to 2006 he helped to encourage, motivate and teach students how to be better and improve every day. During that time, the newspaper won hundreds of honors and awards but none as prestigious as the National Pacemaker, the Pulitzer Prize of college newspapers. He led the Times to win the coveted award a rare 13 times.
Gould’s name and honor will appear as a permanent fixture in the paper’s masthead.
