The following message was released today by MATC’S Department of Marketing & Communications:
“On Wednesday, August 23, our Downtown Milwaukee Campus will be closed to students and employees due to the Republican presidential primary debate taking place across the street at Fiserv Forum. (Employees designated as essential for this day will be contacted directly.)
Please note:
- Classes typically held downtown will instead be held in an online format if possible. Students will be contacted by their instructors.
- All other campuses and locations, including the MATC Education Center at Walker’s Square, will be open for services.
- Team leaders will work with employees who would typically work on campus on this day to identify appropriate next steps.
The closure affects only the Downtown Milwaukee Campus because street closures around Fiserv Forum will make it difficult to access the campus.
The campus will reopen Thursday, August 24, for classes and student-facing services.”
