The following poem was shared at The Q on a recent Tuesday night during Food for Thought, Poetry for the Soul.
It’ll get better
By Adama Kann
To all the bad days
To all my bad ways
Been driving me down
Like I’m stuck in a maze
Left punch
Right hook
Gotcha back in a daze
Tryna change my ways
But I still hesitate
Got me back in your den
I guess this is fate
I just hope that the Lord
Would forgive my mistakes
Promise to make it better
No matter how many nights it will take
Hate to stay on the dark side of the earth
But when I wake up tomorrow
It will be gray
When I wake up tomorrow
It’ll be a brighter day
