MATC’s students will show off their own games and art projects at the Midwest Gaming Classic this weekend at the Baird Center. This event features 250,000+ square feet of retro and modern games. The Gaming Classic is one of the largest gaming conventions in the Midwest, and it hosted over 18,000+ attendees in 2023.
The gaming and game development communities at MATC and the greater Milwaukee area have been gaining in popularity each year. With the ever-growing interest in gaming, this year’s event will have an even wider variety of possible connections and opportunities.
MATC’s students will have their projects shown off through Mothership, which has a booth secured for the event. Mothership is MATC’s game development club that focuses on giving its current and prospective members a way to network and build their professional portfolio. Mainly by hosting and planning events, Mothership offers opportunities that are difficult to pass up for ambitious game developers.
