The Rohingya Student Association (the first of its kind in the nation) had two educational field trips this summer.
On June 24-27, students explored the cutting edge of technologies and innovative labs at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). We feel deep gratitude for having a chance to represent the Rohingya community and promote literacy awareness and education within our community. It was such a privilege for us to have a moment to stand on the same ground where countless innovators and leaders have stood before us.
We were also honored to step onto the hallowed grounds of Harvard University, a bastion of academic brilliance and a beacon of excellence. This collaboration with such an esteemed institution is a testament to our pursuit of academic excellence and our commitment to fostering a culture of knowledge and growth.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to Milwaukee Area Technical College and Asian American Student Services Specialist Der (Kathy) Vang for their unwavering support and belief in our abilities.
We are also grateful to MATC’s Office of Student Life for coordinating all aspects of this trip for us.
