A room full of people, smiling faces, making connections, playing games and eating pizza. That’s what happened at the Black Student Union (BSU) Kickback on Thursday. While the event recruited members to the student organization, it also provided resources students could sign up for to help them be successful at MATC. Those include monetary help through the Fast Fund, which is a small faculty-led, union backed fund that provides financial assistance to MATC students experiencing an unexpected financial crisis, as well as classroom resources like tutors and information on how to use Blackboard.
The BSU event was held on the 6th floor of the M Building on August 29.
