Day of the Dead is a holiday that my family celebrates once every year from November 1-2. We eat pan de muerto (a sweet, soft Mexican bread) and visit our loved ones. Three years ago, on November 2, 2021, I took some pictures as my family paid respects to my grandmother who passed away a long time ago. We put out a Mexican Coke, a drink she loves, and a nice photo of her. (In case you’re curious, Mexican Coke is made with cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup, like it is in the U.S. Some believe it offers a purer or cleaner taste.)
Day of the Dead is a tradition I recommend everyone celebrate to pay respects to those they have lost.
