MATC celebrated the hard work and dedication of 36 students who completed all the requirements to become U.S. Citizens. The college held a New Citizen Recognition & Resource Fair at MATC’s Educational Center at Walker’s Square on Monday to celebrate the MATC students’ accomplishments.
The resource fair provided information to help ease the newly naturalized students transition into post-secondary education programs, navigate financial aid, scholarships and career options.
Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson was on hand to recognize the students, as well as MATC President Dr. Anthony J. Cruz. Fabiola Robles Ávila and Daniel Rosario Sánchez, student completers of the citizenship process, spoke to the attendees.
