It is that time of the year, the season of joy, family, and of course presents. My favorite part about Christmas is the Christmas movies. From the day after Thanksgiving until New Years, we get to binge watch some of the best uplifting and entertaining movies to ever be made. There are a lot of great choices, like: “The Grinch,” “The Christmas Carol,” “Die Hard,” and “Miracle on 34th St,” to choose from. Here are my top two Christmas movies/series to get you started.
“The Christmas Kiss”
I will start with a Hallmark Classic. “The Christmas Kiss” follows a young New York woman with a dream to design clothes, especially costumes for plays. She goes into an elevator with a man and the elevator breaks down, she and the mystery man share a kiss. For the rest of the movie, you go with her as she figures out who the man is, if they are meant to be together, and if she can get her dream. This movie is special to me because it’s a movie me and my mom watch every year for Christmas as if we have never seen it before.
“Home Alone”
This Christmas series is probably the best holiday series ever made. It follows several different kids who end up alone on Christmas when someone tries to steal and take over their home. They get to be free and kick butt to save their house and possessions. This is a six-movie series with only two movies being connected. It’s funny, heartwarming and educational for those times when you’re left home alone and a burglar comes knocking.
By the time you start the first “Home Alone” you will definitely be in the holiday spirit and ready to tackle your Christmas to-do list.
