The MATC Stomers closed out their 2024-25 season with a 96-92 win over Raritan Valley Community College in the consolation match of the NJCAA Division II National Championship Tournament on Wednesday in Danville, IL.
Game Highlights
Freshman Julian Valentine led the team early, contributing six points, with sophomore Antonio Foxwell adding five, freshman Ky’Moni Hunt tallying four, sophomore Cyrus Little scoring three, and freshman Noah Daniels scoring two points. Coming out of halftime, the Stormers intensified their defensive game, setting the tone for the remainder of the game. Cyrus Little scored an impressive 14 points in the second half to help secure the victory. “The goal was to finish the season with a win; they came out and played hard and I’m very proud of them,” said Head Coach Randy Casey
A Fond Farewell to the Sophomores
With the season complete, Coach Casey and Assistant Coach Travis Mrozek say goodbye to their sophomore class: Ian Murphy, Dane Dailing, Oluwamayowa Akinsipe, Owen Smith, Antonio Foxwell, Matthew Hoarde and Cyrus Little. Casey expressed his deep gratitude for their dedication and belief in both the program and his leadership. “I can’t thank them enough.”
