The Stormers softball team starts strong with a 24-20 overall record, yet after Friday’s game, Coach Kunter wants to see improvement in two weeks before the playoffs. Their next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 22 at 3 p.m., where they will face Triton College in River Grove, IL.
Friday’s Highlights
On Friday, the Stormers faced Bryant and Stratton College, with an 18-1 loss. In the fourth inning, Sophomore Ryen Pagano provided a solo home run. “Pagano is one of those players we can always rely on offensively,” said Head Coach Joe Kunter. Defensively, the Stomers struggled, having six errors in the field, which helped the Bobcats score seven runs. The team is gearing up for intense practice on Monday. He mentioned that the team is preparing to get set and ready for Tuesday’s game, and in two weeks they will be in the playoffs. “We have to finish the season strong,” he said. Due to weather conditions, the Stomers were unable to redeem themselves and game 2 got called off.
