The Marketing Club is more than just a gathering of a small group of people with a business-related major. It is best described as a student organization for social networking and community outreach.Members came up with ideas for community service. They’ve also involved themselves with other activities that take place throughout the community.
The Marketing Club is a part of the Marketing Management division program exclusive to the Oak Creek, Mequon and Downtown Milwaukee Campuses.
The club is open to students of other programs, however, it prefers to have students with Marketing as a major.
According to Justin Rutland, secretary/treasurer of the club, there are a lot of events scheduled in the spring schedule.
The club planned to visit the Milwaukee Brewers, where they will have a chance to speak with the Brewers’ Marketing Director Kathy Schwab about the marketing management behind the Brewers games.
The club also planned to attend the Wisconsin Governor’s Conference on Tourism (WIGCOT), where they will get the chance to meet with business managers and directors of different organizations about their experiences in their fields.
The club is also responsible for the Non-Profit day at MATC in May by getting 40 respondents from different non-profit organizations. Also, as a part of the schedule, the club will be involved with the Greendale Village Center Marketing, where the team will help businesses in Greendale to improve.
