DOOMSDAY – This fantastic sci-fi thriller stars Malcolm McDowell, Craig Conway, Bob Hoskins, Alexander Siddig and Rhona Mitra as Major Sinclair, the heroine charged with saving London and possibly the world from a re-emerging virus that had allegedly wiped out Scotland 30 years ago. I would love to ramble on and on about how groovy this flick was. This was one of those movies I saw first on HBO or Showtime and rushed out to snag me up a copy.
I realize this type of movie is not for everyone, and I’d like to mention the numerous adult themes running throughout it.
Many of you might find walling of half a country and letting its population die off slowly distasteful at best.
I, however, loved every second of this movie and felt lucky to get my copy for around $7.
Now then, for date night, I’m sure it fully depends on the date you have in mind. This one is not for kids.
