The Performance Techniques and Honors Ensemble students have been rehearsing this week for their performance on Friday, March 1. This free concert is taking place in the C Building Auditorium at 12:30 p.m.
The entire concert is student-run, with live sound support coming from the Sound Reinforcement class. The concert will be recorded by the Recording Live Concerts audio class.
Why are sound checks important, you may ask? Because these concerts act as midterms and finals for all the classes involved. Jordan Rehak, the audio instructor for live sound class, said, “The sound checks are important for working out all the kinks that could arise. It gives the classes time to talk to each other and work out the details of the show so everything is as organized as possible before the curtains open.”
