MATC has a new club and members from all pathways are welcome. MATC’s Baking Club became official in March 2024 and meets the third Tuesday of every month during the Spring and Fall semesters.
The purpose of the organization is to involve students in the art of baking and pastry. This club also provides networking opportunities, skills-building workshops, baking, and travel to places within the baking industry. In addition, the club is encouraging participation in the MATC Cookbook, which plans to offer recipes from students, faculty and staff.
The final meeting of the semester is scheduled for Tuesday, May 7. The group is taking a field trip to 3rd Street Market Hall to tour Dairyland and Midway Bakery. (The meeting was moved up because the students didn’t want to meet in the last week of the semester.)
