All MATC campuses and facilities are closed on Juneteenth Day, Wednesday, June 19. Juneteenth was established as a federal holiday on June 17, 2021 to celebrate the end of slavery in the United States. It marks the day enslaved people in Texas learned they were free, which was two-and-a-half years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
