MATC President Dr. Anthony Cruz, students and staff gathered to welcome Kroger food delivery to the Downtown Campus. Kroger operates Pick ‘n Save and Metro Market stores in the Milwaukee area. This new service delivers groceries to students (faculty and staff too) for FREE with on-campus pickup.
The process is simple:
- Order groceries online at the Pick ‘n Save website or through their app. before 8:00 a.m. Tuesday morning. Orders must be a minimum of $35. Credit, gift cards and SNAP EBT are accepted as a form of payment. (Campus cash is not accepted.)
- Enter the promotional code that is available in MATC’s The Week Ahead e-newsletter. This code means: “Free delivery for on-campus pickup.”
- Grocery orders are delivered to the MATC Downtown Campus in a refrigerated, blue Kroger’s truck. It is located in front of the H Building at 700 West Highland Avenue.
- Orders are available for pick up on Tuesday (same-day) between 2 p.m.-5 p.m.
At the Kroger welcome event in August, “Rich ‘N Creamy!” ice cream sandwiches were handed out. During the event, the delivery truck staff also unloaded bags of grocery items to be sent over to the Downtown Campus Food Pantry. Inside of the bags were a variety of non-perishable food items from Kroger. President Cruz and the owner of Kroger delivery shook hands and enjoyed a chill day for ice cream.
