MATC’s Downtown Campus had a flag-raising ceremony for Juneteenth Day outside of the S Building.
The event included speeches, singing, spoken word and the announcement of the Black Excellence Leadership Alliance, a new employee affinity group.
Margaret Henningson, who is known as the mother of Milwaukee Juneteenth, was the keynote speaker at the event.
