How would you cope without your cellphone?

You reach for your phone and it’s not there. You pat your pocket, look in your backpack, look around your desk, and you can’t find it. You start panicking, where could you have left it.

Or say you want to find directions, look up a sports score, read an email, or just text your friend back, how can you do that without your cellphone?

One day I left my cellphone at a friend’s house. I noticed once I got home. I reached for the phone to call her, but then, like a dummy, I realized I didn’t have it. I didn’t know how I was going to contact her. Fortunately, she knew my schedule and met me at work the next day to return my phone. I was relieved. I need my cellphone. It helps to look up the bus schedule, connect with friends or look up assignments on Blackboard.

What if you had to be without your phone for an entire day? Could you cope? How would you deal with the loss of your cellphone? We asked students how they would cope without their cellphone. Here’s what they had to say:
