I scream, you scream, let’s all get ice cream!
On Sept. 6, the Milwaukee Student Government Association (SGA) hosted the ice cream social at the Downtown Milwaukee campus cafeteria. “We just wanted to do something for the student body,” said SGA advisor, Erika Crosby. “We try to do a welcome back social and one at the end of the year. We are not only supplying a nice treat, we also use this time to reach out and recruit students to join Student Government,” stated Crosby.
The SGA is a group of student volunteers that plan events, such as the ice cream social, to make the campus life more enjoyable. While bringing the student body together, SGA volunteers devote their time and talents to making MATC a better place by offering resources to assist students in their journey to success. There is a SGA presence at each of the four MATC campuses.
You can find more information about the SGA at the Student Life Office. The SGA offices locations are: Downtown Milwaukee, Room S303; Mequon, Room A238; Oak Creek, Room A107; and West Allis, Room 133.
