Elves and children were waiting eagerly with Mrs. Claus to welcome Santa to the annual Milwaukee PBS’ “Letters to Santa” show.

Kicking off the holiday season, our video production students recently shot the 44th season of their Christmas program, “Letters to Santa.”
This is a family show, which has a new theme every year, and features real kids and their wish lists, music, and sometimes even cooking and cartoon segments. “Letters to Santa” is and always has been entirely student run (save for a few faculty members who help out when needed), so from the planning, to finding kids to participate, to production and shooting, our students do it all.
Joe Sinicki, who is in his third semester of being a member of the crew, stated that “Letters to Santa” is Milwaukee PBS’ longest running show, and MATC’s only running show on Channel 10.
The program serves as a great festive experience for families. Sinicki said, “I watch it with my own daughter every year. It’s a great hands-on learning experience. If you have kids I encourage you to keep this program in mind and try to participate next year, creating lasting memories with family around the holidays.”
The show can be seen Dec. 17-21 and on Dec. 24 at 2:30 p.m. on Milwaukee PBS Channel 10.1.
