Wisconsin native Silas Young is ready to compete again in the sport of professional wrestling.

Ring of Honor wrestling will return to Milwaukee’s Turner Hall Ballroom on Friday, March 13, and a familiar face to the area will be featured in a match during the event. Silas Young, a Wisconsin native, will continue his road back from a leg injury that sidelined him for several months this winter.
To hear it from him, the condition of his appendage is no longer a concern.
“The leg is doing good, man,” Silas said during a telephone interview with the Times. “I’ve had a handful of matches back, and it’s holding up real well.”
The strong-willed and brave-faced attitude is unsurprising coming from Young, who is of the opinion that he is the last real man of wrestling.
Young has been looking forward to his return to Milwaukee.
“I’m real excited,” Young said. “Wisconsin is where I started. It’s always good to kind of come full circle, so to speak. I love the crowd that’s at Turner Hall Ballroom. It’s always just a real hot, electric crowd.”
He’s unsure of who he’ll be facing when he gets here but doesn’t think the identity of his opponent will be much of a factor in the outcome of the match.
“I have no idea,” Young said. “To be honest, it doesn’t really matter. Coming back, I want this work more than anybody else does. Regardless of who it is, I’m going to be winning so it doesn’t really matter to me who it is.”
Ring of Honor has been operating as a professional wrestling organization since 2002. Young made his debut with the company in 2007 and believes they offer an incredible product for fans because of the high level of competition.
“All matches in Ring of Honor are great,” Young shared. “Ring of Honor has the best talent there is in the world. They bring guys in from every corner of the Earth.”
Attendees should come ready to see a thrilling brand of sports entertainment, according to Young. “From every match, they can expect some good hard-hitting, high-flying type of wrestling. It’s definitely an athletic event and people can expect to be wowed.”
Tickets for the event are available at pabsttheater.org. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the bell for the first match will ring at 7:30 p.m.
