If you’ve never been to Art in Bloom at the Milwaukee Art Museum, you are missing something very special. Under the dome of the Calatrava (the moving “wings”/brise soleil) and throughout the museum local artists, designers and florists show the creations they’ve made. Artisans used flowers to recreate artwork in the museum.
I attended the Art in Bloom Fashion Show, which is an illumination of this week-long event. It’s a unique fashion show in a unique building. Beautiful models in beautiful outfits created by Milwaukee designers. An elegant, colorful community gathered and all were encompassed in floral decorations.
For Milwaukee, it’s a great way to celebrate and awake from the gray color of winter. The event took place on Friday, April 19. Please check out the photo gallery to experience more of the colorful designs.
