Ekko reverberates throughout Milwaukee

Mikky Ekko’s voiced echoed throughout the Riverside Theater Jan. 26. The audience sang along as Ekko ended his set with the song “Stay” by Rihanna featuring Ekko that made him known.

His song with Rihanna charted him in multiple countries worldwide. Before he began his last song of the night, Ekko thanked the audience. Ekko’s enthusiasm and his interaction with the audience showed how passionate he is about his craft.

Ekko, born John Stephen Sudduth, is an American artist from Nashville. Ekko writes his own songs as well as sings. Ekko performed with the anticipation of his new album, “Fame,” due out this year and presented songs off the record, including “Blood on the Surface” and “Not the One.” Ekko has one other album, “Time.”

Ekko’s genre style is pop, indie pop, alternative and rock. His vocal range was very impressive and he seemed to have an eclectic style. His music was easy to listen to and the energy he brought with him was magnetic.
